The After School Dance Fund (ASDF) is a Silver Spring based nonprofit organization established in 2010. Our mission is to develop youth leadership and promote wellness, heritage, and cultural unity through Latin dance education. Through our partnership with individual Montgomery County high schools, the After School Dance Fund has offered free dance classes to over 260 students annually since its inception, and has also planned, organized, produced and financed the annual Montgomery County Public Schools Latin dance competition at the Music Center at Strathmore. Since 2010, eighteen high schools have performed in front of a full and sold out house. We need to raise $20,000 to keep this program and the annual Strathmore competition alive this coming November 2018. We also request your support to put our high school graduates to work by giving them an opportunity to be new dance teachers and inspirational role models for our pilot program in the Montgomery County middle schools.
