2019 GWHCC 11th Annual Embassy Dinner Series
Launched in 2008, the Embassy Dinner Series is the Chamber’s preeminent private event, honoring high-profile Latin American leaders and organizations making a difference in international trade and commercial affairs in the Western Hemisphere. Each fall this dinner brings together ambassadors from Latin America and Caribbean countries, leaders and companies with trade activities between the U.S. and Latin America to continue developing mutual relationships in benefit of the regional economy. The Honorary Chair for the 11th Annual Embassy Dinner is Dr. Rafael Pablo Antonio Canedo Daroca from the Embassy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. Mr. Canedo was born in Tarija, Bolivia and graduated from law school at the Universidad Juan Misael Saracho in 1999. He did his post graduate studies in Criminal Sciences at Universidad de Habana, Cuba, in a joint degree program with the Universidad Juan Misael Saracho. Pablo is also well known for his involvement in sports, arts and cultural activities for the past twenty years. In 2015, he was candidate for Governor of Tarija. In July of that year, he was appointed National Director of the Pilcomayo and Bermejo River Basins interfacing with the governments of Argentina and Paraguay on behalf of the Government of Bolivia. Since July of 2017, he has been Chief of Mission (Charge d’Affaires) of the Embassy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia in Washington, D.C.
